MingYi was founded in 2024 in Amsterdam by a small team of East Asian heritage practitioners and a tech builder. We share one belief: these classical methods work best as frameworks for thinking — never as fortune-telling.
Each question calls for a different system. Da Liu Ren for time-sensitive conflict. Qi Zheng for deep life patterns. Mei Hua for quick yes/no. Huang Li for date selection. We match the question to the method.
Every reading is delivered by a senior practitioner with at least 8 years of training in classical methods. AI is used only as a delivery channel — never to draft your reading.

MingYi was started in 2024 by a small group of practitioners in Amsterdam, Taipei, and Singapore. The name — 明易 — comes from the Yijing (易經): "clarity through change."
Most of us grew up with these methods in our families — grandparents reading almanacs, aunts selecting wedding dates, parents consulting before business decisions. We also grew up with the Western skepticism toward anything labeled "fortune-telling," and we share it.
The compromise we landed on: classical methods, modern framing. Treat Da Liu Ren as a way to read the rhythm of a moment. Treat Qi Zheng as a way to see one's own patterns. Treat Huang Li as a way to pick an environmental sweet spot. Never claim to predict. Always invite the questioner to think.
The platform launched in late 2025. As of mid-2026 we serve around 1,200 paying customers in 14 countries, mostly EU + UK + US + Singapore.
